The University is currently working to finalize details for hooding. Additional information will be available in the coming weeks. Continue to check commencement.fresnostate.edu and your student email for new information as it becomes available.
During each ceremony, graduate students will be asked to stand and will be given instructions on placement of their hood, led by Chancellor Castro. Please refrain from wearing the hood until this portion of the ceremony.
Noisemakers, balloons, large bags (above 12x10x10 inches), signs, weapons, lighters and bottles containing liquids other than water will not be permitted into the stadium.
Smaller bags are subject to visual inspection by security staff upon entry and bringing these items into the venue may result in expulsion from the event. Each graduate and guest may bring one sealed water bottle up to 24 oz in size. Additionally, water will be sold at concession stands.
The chance of rain on the day of commencement is remote; however, the following contingencies have been developed:
- In the event of light rain or occasional showers, the ceremonies will proceed as planned in the stadium.
- In the event of a heavy rainstorm, the ceremonies may be cancelled.
For accomodations in advance, please contact Student Involvement at getInvolved@csufresno.edu or 559.278.2741
On site during the ceremonies staff will be available for assistance.
Blocks, wedges and platform style shoes are acceptable; however, we recommend wearing the most stable pair of shoes for the safety of the participant.
